Orbico Bulgaria, part of Orbico Group, made another step forward on their path aimed at constant improvement and innovation. The company implemented Asset Insider, an innovative asset management application, based on the Low-Code platform Microsoft Power Apps – the platform positioned in the Gartner’s Leaders Quadrant for Enterprise Low-Code Platform and it is a perfect match for the deployment of digital transformation strategies.
Asset Insider has been adopted in Orbico for full-scale management of their assets in different areas, starting with the complete set of IT equipment.
The scope of the application covers the full life-cycle management of the assets – from the day they are ordered to the moment they are written-off, tracking the movements of the equipment between different people, locations and departments, digitalization of the provisioning process, creation of relationships between assets and their links, maintaining purchasing and warranty information, push notifications, single app sign-in with existing O365 accounts and full sync of assets’ users with Orbico’s Active Directory, and more.
“We wanted to have better management of our operational assets and made an in-depth research for possible solutions before finding Asset Insider. The whole selection process was very clean and easy as we knew what we want, and Sappience provided us a trial of the app.” Plamen Velkov, IT Manager of Orbico Bulgaria shared his thoughts on the decision to go with Sappience and Asset Insider
Based on the trial process we gave our feedback and custom requirements. First of the three main reasons for choosing Asset Insider after the proof of concept was that the tool has the required capabilities to manage different kind of assets – from multiple IT equipment categories to light and heavy operational equipment. Another reason was that it can be customized for specific needs or add new custom features. And last but not least, it’s based on the Power Apps and we can create more specific or line of business apps on the platform. Plamen said in addition.
Some of the benefits that Orbico experience with the onboarding in Asset Insider are full traceability and tracking of the assets and the option to track additional costs generated by specific assets, increased engagement of the assets’ users, time reduced in provisioning of the equipment to employees and the capabilities to execute location or department based cost allocation.
